A View Across The Post Office Pit.

The flint cottage on the left appeared in the 1800 Houghton survey and eventually demolished by the Leveretts. The Post Office and grocer’s shop is also a draper and is owned by a Mr Cottis. The Victorian frontage on the Oddfellows Hall was later removed.
