A photograph taken from the church tower. The field in the top of the picture was sold to make way for two executive houses but now has 47 bungalows built there. Houghton Estate was paid £9000 to pipe surface water into the pit. The Parish Council received £1000 and had the bank dug out and dredged the pit.
