Charles Kidall’s shop is on the right, he later moved his business to the Rose and Crown. Two doors down was the home of Finley George Riches who died on 13 April 1923, aged 69. On the left is Shrublands, home of Hodson the builder. Two doors down is the first village Post Office and sweet shop. Further down to the left of the men was Jonathan Jex the blacksmith.
